HTPC Resolution on HDTV?

In preparation for getting an HTPC this summer, I've taken one of our old computers, thrown a WinTV-PVR-150 in it, picked up a Harmony 670, and set to work creating a temporary solution to experiment with different software packages and setups. Before I even got that far though, I ran into an issue. No matter what the computer is displaying (BIOS screen, OS desktop, etc.), the edges of the screen are always cut off (TV is a widescreen, but I'm just dealing with a 4:3 image at the moment). Granted, this isn't a huge issue, but it makes reading anything at the edge of the screen extremely difficult. I'm assuming this is just a resolution/calibration issue, but does anyone know how to go about fixing it? On my Samsung computer monitors I have a nice "Auto" button that fixes this for me, but I've yet to find an equivalent on the TV. :p

Video Card: Nvidia 6600GT (connected to TV over DVI)
OS: Windows Server 2003 (Home Server) and/or Ubuntu 6.10
 
If you dig around in the nVidia control panel they have adjustments for it. At least when you're in Windows.
