HTPC Motherboard and CPU

I have a dilema on choosing which motherboard and cpu for my HTPC. I had an old DFI board with a 939 CPU I bought just recently that I used but when I received the CPU it wasn't working. Now I'm searching around to see what I can buy to replace the 939 setup and I'm stumped into wether going with intel or AMD. I have the video card already, HD3850 which means that I don't need onboard video but is a good thing to buy a MB with onboard video and use the HD3850? I'm stumped as I rather buy a board without onboard video but for the AMD side, it seems that the cheaper ones come with onboard video.

I need some help on deciding what to use. I'm not trying to spend money here, was more of using my old stuff for the HTPC but it didn't work out as I planned. All I need is motherboard and cpu but the real question is, will the onboard video play nicely with the HD3850?
