I am wondering if anyone trying to get an HTPC up and going is having the same kind of issues I am.

I am trying to get rid of the dish, and I am looking for legit sources for media/content/downloads. I am looking to get kids/educational type programming (Nick, Discovery, etc). This type of programming proves to be difficult to find through my standard conventions as nobody seems to have very much, and it usually isn't popular enough to be put out into places I normally look. I can't get Itunes videos to work at all on my HTPC (Dell C521/Athlon X2 5000+/Vista 64/x1300 pro) and I have tried unsuccessfully to rip/dub to wmv. Are there any competitors to itunes out there? Any suggestions?
