Are there any htpc cases that will fit a TRUE COPPER?

Looking at the bigger names preferably no more than $250~ maybe stretching to $300

I don't think there is much HTPC case can fit the TRUE copper... And if they do, can your mATX or ITX mother hold them? It can crack mobos you know, however, you can use the AXP 140, its pretty good in performance also :D

You might be able to fit it in a NZXT Rouge, but I wouldn't really call it a HTPC case :D

Cause I went out of my way to get a Lian Li Tyr for $350 just to fit the longer video cards now a days. But that TRUE is looking real sweet and I'm sure that leaning on its side like that can't be good for anything but breaking. One possibility is the Origen S21T but that case is insanely $$$$. Also I have no need for the big LCD but I doubt they have any plans for making a case like that without the front LCD. Does anyone know of a similar spec'd case that I may have overlooked?

...no offense, but honestly, what the hell OP? It's been proven again, and again, and again that it takes an insane amount of weight to damage the CPU socket area. Like, more than any CPU cooler currently on the market.

If that's really your reason, stop looking now and use the case you have. It will be fine. If you're that concerned about the weight fabricate a small support or something. It's not hard. Plenty are running these things in a standard tower without any issue and have been for about 2 years now, so it's not like it's unproven.

The TRUE Copper is actually not supposed to be used in a horizontal configuration. However, since its performance is no better than about a single degree Celsius compared to the standard TRUE and TRUE Black, you may as well just go with one of those instead and forget about the HTPC case.

yes i know it takes a lot of weight to damage area. however, reviews have suggested that much more stress is applied to the MB due to the enormous weight in comparison to other large tower coolers. It's the fact that u have 4lbs leaning off a tower style. It's pulling on the MB area. I was just hoping to maybe get some people who actually have been using them and tell me that they have had not stress/sagging issues due to weight. I personally like HTPC style cases and have been using them until I could no longer fit video cards into them without mods. I took a dive on the Tyr cause I like the looks of it and its big enough for future builds. If there is a chance that there's an HTPC case that fits what I'm looking for I'll check it out. Im not offended or anything, I just thinking your interpretation of what I'm seeking is different. That is all.

why is it not supposed to be used in a horizontal config?

It's also been proven that even if there is more stress, it doesn't actually damage anything.

So... /thread

Well, by horizontal I mean with the heatsink oriented horizontally, and the case oriented vertically. The reason is because of the weight.

You might try the Zerotherm BTF90. Yeah, it's shaped like a butterfly, but it works really well (I have one). :) It might work if the TRUE copper won't fit. Also, it's pretty quiet with its stock fan, though no doubt you could get a quieter fan. And you can get one for about $50.

However, it's a socket 775 sink if that matters.

jimmyboy, this is not about the cooler, but about the case. I don't think that we would exchange any Thermalright Ultra for that thing. Btw, there are many much better coolers which fits in the biggest HTPC cases like Antec Fusion Remote Max. Ninja 2, Orochi (without the fan)...
