Hello, I'm looking to turn my old pc into a HTPC and need help picking out a case that can house my old equipment and fit in my av cabinet. Thank you very much for any suggestions.

Requirements:

ATX compatible- 750i motherboard
ability to fit 1 GTX 280, Creative xfi pcie sound card
1 optical drive
2-3 3.5 hdds
Black

Preferably around $100, could go $150

Thanks!

That doesn't support one of his requirements, ATX compatibility.

I went through this last year. The only nice HTPC cases I could find that would fit an ATX motherboard were expensive ($200 USD+) and usually had some limitations (# of drives, ease of installation of components, etc). I eventually settled on a $40 (AR) Antec Three Hundred that has tons of room and looks great on my TV stand in a horizontal position with my other components. A major plus is that I can use it for other purposes in the future. The main drawback is that it isn't a real HTPC case. I'm happy with it. Just something to think about.

Take a look at SilverStone HTPC cases, we've got lots of them that will accommodate what you need. Even the Lascala LC17, which was released in 2005, should work for you with its modular drive cages. With the middle drive cage removed, it has plenty of room for a large graphics card while the left drive cage will fit up to three 3.5" drives.
