HTPC build Question?

Hello all, I am new to forums, so I hope my question will be ok for this section.

I'm getting my components together for a build, and I wanted to know would it be foolish of me to buy a SSD (60 gb) for my hard drive for my computer?

I plan on accessing my media through a NAS or WHS. I haven't decided yet which one.

Honestly I think an SSD is overkill for an HTPC. I'd look for a laptop hard drive for low power, low heat and low temps.
