[netsider]

I've used a lot of different text editors.. but was wondering which other one's you guys know of?

I've used Sublimetext, Notepad++, JEdit, Nano/Vi, BBedit, and Textwrangler.

Friend showed me this a few days ago, and so far, I like it. It may replace Notepad++ for me.

It's called Brackets, it's open source and founded by Adobe. It also has live preview of what you are coding. It works with HTML, CSS, and Javascript (and PHP to a certain degree).

Sublime Text 3 w/ Emmet add-on are my current favorite. It makes coding a breeze. It hassles me a lot as I'm using it unregistered. Perhaps at some point I may buy it.

BBEdit is my favorite editior because it is so versitlie.
When I must use windows, I prefer Ultraedit or Notepad++.

Light Table is a very cool editor/IDE for HTML + Javascript. It also supports Clojure and Python well, but that's outside of the scope of the question.

It offers live previews/updates to your code as you're editing it.

Chris Granger, the creator of Light Table, raised over $300k on Kickstarter to help fund this editor. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ibdknox/light-table It's shaping out to be something really cool.

Light Table is actually really cool. I only used it for quick Clojure stuff, but I was really impressed.
