Define true 4g? Technically, t-mobile and ATT use HSPA+ technology which is like 3.5G. It is still decent fast. If the sensation is not "true 4g," then none of the t-mobile phones are, as t-mobile does not have LTE out.

I agree with the above, go with the sensation. Look at the g2x forums on xda developers. Everyone is complaining or has switched to a different phone. The g2x would have been a nice phone, but its quality issue with the screen and reboots made it bad.

the G2x will get a significant software update in the next week or so.....a bit too early to write off the phone that is faster than the sensation...even running an older OS

Faster? Only when you use it in between the spontaneous reboots.

What makes you think the Tegra is faster than the Qualcomm proc?

got a great deal for a free sensation on a Tmobile late night deal, it is one super slick phone. Best on TMo by far

I returned my G2x & traded my garbage Vibrant for a hacked HD2 running G'bread. I'm much happier now. #NeverAgain

I'd consider the Hercules, if I didn't have the bad taste of Samsung from my Vibrant. I don't want a locked bootloader. I would like to go back to HTC, though. I'll hold out for a few months and see what turns up.

Sensation feels like a solid phone from the time i've spent with it up here in Canuckistan. Funny how it's been overshadowed by the Galaxy S II were getting on Thursday though..

Never once heard of a GOOD LG smartphone in the high end... The Optimus p5XX series rocks, but it's VERY entry level... Everything else has been an unreliable POS (The ALLY especially, we got it as the C710 Shine Plus)

What's so bad about the G2X? I have one now and am about to upgrade to a Sensation but the G2X has been serving me pretty well. I know there's a few out there who've had some issues with it but mine's been fine and dandy, the only reason I'm switching is because I'm a phone whore. I know there's going to be things I'll miss about the G2X, mainly custom roms, I hear the notification led on the Sensation is next to useless too. Before the G2X I had a Nexus S and comparing the two the G2X is pretty damn good, the only thing it loses points on is the screen and touch sensitivity isn't as good. Other than that I like the G2X, the hardware is solid especially the buttons, I feel like I could press the power/lock button a million times.

Mine rebooted twice a day for the week I had it and didn't seem any faster than my Nexus S when using apps. It also felt a little chunky with the raised back for the camera.

I also prefer the higher screen res and size of the Sensation over the G2x.
