HT Link Multiplier... what the hell does it do?

ok... your HTT bus, by default runs at 200MHz each way. Up and Down.

It sends 16Bits of Data Each way (16 up / 16 down) @ 200MHz.

The Multiplier is 5x meaning it sends 16 Bits of data each way 5 times during that 200Mhz Cycle. So its "effectively 1000MHz each way.

So 5x 16Bit @ 200MHz is the same as 1x 16Bit @ 1000MHz

Understand? Or did I just complicate it more lol
 
I understand what the HTT is, I mean the HT Link Multiplier. Its also called the LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio.
