HSF upgrade question

Hey all. I've wound up with a spare $70 or so, and I was thinking about upgrading the Tt "silent boost" cooler on my 3000+ winchester. The thing is, this processor seems to top out at 270 HTT @ 1.525 vcore (My A8N-SLI deluxe doesn't offer vcore higher than 1.55). Right now, it idles at ~32C and loads at about ~48C. Pushing the vcore to 1.55 results in load temps around 53C, which is a bit out of my comfort zone.
Could I get a better (like 2.6 GHz, or so) OC if I went to something like an XP-90/120, or would my money be better spent somewhere else?
If an XP-90/120 would be a good option, could you reccomend a good quiet (not necessarily silent) fan as well?

If you max out your vcore with your current heatsink and you're getting stable speeds and temps, then no, a new HSF will not net you higher overclocks. However if your getting issues with stability or temperature with the higher voltage, then certainly upgrading the HSF will help, and possibly get you a higher overclock.

It seems like a better HSF will help keep your temps down, but not necessarily give you a higher OVerclock.
