HSF Mods for Uncapped/IHS Removed A64

Hi, just reading the X-2 Uncapped post and was thinking about taking the plunge. Can anyone relate any mods they needed to perform on their HSF in order to achieve these things?

I've heard HSF with a bolt mounting like the thermalrights just need you to thumb the bolts down harder. What is this plastic retention clip grinding?
