HSF for x4 955?

Hi desk, I have this exact motherboard. Might I ask what memory you intend to use? That makes as big a difference as the cooler itself.

I am using a Xigmatek Red Scorpion 1283 cooler and OCZ AMD Edition memory modules (OCZ3P1333LVAM4GK part number), and its a tight fit but everything does fit. All bets are off if you use memory with monster high rise heatsinks though.

Well I know with my heatsink those would work fine. Hard to say with Freezer 7 though. If you don't want to risk it just use the heatsink I am using, I used to use a Freezer 7, and in my opinion the Xigmatek is quieter and cools better because of its more modern design and larger fans. Its only a couple dollars more expensive to.

I am using a true rev 3 with the fan blowing towards my exhaust. There is plenty of room for my ram in my case with it set up that way. You are looking at much cheaper coolers, so that point is moot.

i would recommend the xigmatek cpu coolers they are way awesome and do an excellent job of cooling if you don't want the 120mm fan size cpu cooler... get the smaller version

The point isn't moot, with the Xigmatek its a pretty close cut for the RAM. I know if the RAM had heat risers the first 2 slots would be blocked for use.
