HP w2207 & HP My Display software?

What is up with this "My Display" software from HP?

Purchased the HP w2207 monitor and it came with my display version 1.00 and I updated to version 1.11 and it now states that it's not compatible with this monitor.

Is this a 100% crap program or is it just me?

I can't seem to get much out of it.

Anyone else having problems with this program?

Well, most people who tried it, including me, have found issues with it. Depending on the config of your system it will act up accordingly. In my case I had to uninstall it because of interference with other software. Better wait till HP works out the bugs. I wouldn't worry about it. It's completely non-essetial to the good functioning of the monitor. I would make sure that the drivers are installed, as their presence will produce a better picture, though Microsoft's generic drivers are more than adequate. I'd also make sure that the monitor is running in digital mode and connected accordingly, with a digital cable (if your video card has a digital-out socket), because imho the picture is substantially better. Do join the Official w2207 thread, as there there are many people who discuss issues of common interest regarding the monitor.

hell i never installed any software. don't get me wrong i did get the disc when i purchased the monitor. but when i hooked it up to my computer. everything looked fine. so i did not install any software. no need too i'm happy with it just the way it is AWESOME
