I never actually thought about the marijuana industry needing a specialized Point-of-Sale system. But as Mark Goldfogel says, "Cannabis, however, will evaporate while it’s in the safe waiting to be sold — like Houdini with a skunk smell." While there is a lot more to reefer POS due to all sorts of tracking that is needed, it seems that no company had stepped up to the bong for a big pull until now. Business Insider, which seems to run a lot of advertorial, is reporting that HP is getting into the legal ganja industry with technology that could "change the way people buy weed." HP and Flowhub, a specialist on chronic software, are teaming to build some dope new POS systems specifically made to mellow out your Mary Jane transactions. Doll-dagga buzz-buzz ziggety-zag!

These new registers are designed for marijuana dispensaries, and their software aims to help licensed business owners track sales and inventory, create reports, and comply with state regulatory agencies by sending reports to them automatically.

Seems like a barcode on the wrapper like the tomatoes and grapes would suffice.

Hoping a weed register shows up here in Texas soon, anyway which way they want to handle it.

You really don't? I'm not a fan of drugs or alcohol in general, but I really don't see how weed is on the same level as alcohol, societal wise.

You have two mods, both cause disruption to your game. Each modifies your stats differently, while altering your perception.

Either way you have negative stats and loss of game.

Except one seems to be noticeably less destructive than the other. I don't think I need to spell out which one that is.

I've had experiences with stoners in real life, teenagers or otherwise, and they really don't come toe to toe with someone who's buzzed after a few cans.

Remember standing there wondering how and why I paid so much for a bunch of stems and seeds. :rage:

You're trying to delineate the best problem.

I mostly agree with you but in my experiences those who don't knowingly try to change their game at some point don't notice when they changed in playing the game. I.E. I've known plenty of people who brag about not drinking alcohol, caffeinated drinks, pot, etc. but not realize when they've forgotten something or done something incorrectly until it's proven to them. Even then they sometimes doubt its real and can't comprehend incompetence isn't always substance based. I feel some pity as I've grown older with them and we approach senior years and they can't accept that mortality takes its toll on all, not just the addicts. It's as if not altering makes humans perfect in all of creation in their beliefs. I agree too, that many go off the deep end and lose track of any balance or optimal potential with altering themselves. Moderation, in of itself, seems to be an abandoned concept along with true self awareness.

I've seen potheads that are way more "Functional" than a boozer.

Is that after pot was legalized?
Main thing helping the pot heads has been a limited/expensive supply.
Legalizing it changes that to an almost unlimited supply, but still expensive due to taxes.

Look up called something called cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome, something that emergency rooms are seeing a lot more of in legalized states.
Funny how many of these pot heads are in complete denial for years, despite the pain, because they believe that pot is safe.

Well yeah, my post was a reply to someone who was equating stoners to drunkards. Drinking and smoking weed are vices, but not equatable ones.

Maybe out in California, but not in the midwest.

You just called someone a dumb ass for saying "pot heads" are no different than "alcoholics."

You're dropping creds.

I'm not sure what the correlation between legalizing weed and taking away guns is. That just seems bizarre.

It's a federal issue, 4473 form question on drug use.

Consider it a clever back door gun ban, coming soon. Go ahead and smoke pot youngster, and here's your state cannabis card. Don't worry about the future hehe.

My point is you have a poor grasp of the issues and ramifications, likely because you're quite young.
I'm 34 years old, and use marijuana every day. I used to take oxycodone daily for a back injury, now just weed. I know the issue quite well. Calling people young on a forum makes you look like even more of a dipshit.

You purport drugs have no ill effects. Pot and oxy plus whatever else over the past 20 years, it must be genetics that cause you to be a jerk.
Unfortunately there's no drug for bad genes or jackasses.

Show me where I said drugs have no ill effects. I said if you can't see the difference between a weed smoker and an alcoholic then you're a dumbass. I then replied to someone that said they didn't believe that there were more stupid people that didn't smoke weed, than those that did. I said maybe in California, but not here. Unfortunately, you're a moron with poor reading comprehension.

Read up, no mention of "weed smoker." Be legal, lol.
Sorry son, perhaps you'll get one over on me one day, but I'm younger than you and you have a ways to go.

Nighty night ;)

Marijuana restrictions have been present on form 4473 far before the legalization of marijuana/medicinal marijuana. I don't see how that changes anything. If gun owners weren't answering 'No' before, why would they be answering 'Yes' just because some states have legalized weed? Federal law overrides state law.

Never cared for pot, but ok. Though, we should all be so nice as to assume that all gun owners answer 'No' on form 4473.

on everyones comments about 4473 and pot. here's how it goes, because i got hit on it trying to buy a gun a while back. the only time you have to answer YES is when you have a drug related charge on your criminal record. I answered no to the "addicted to pot or blah, blah, blah" but had a posession (pot) charge a couple years prior. and they denied me. i think its 3 years(?) between a drug charge and being able to buy a gun. if you have a drug charge the government considers you an addict. that's how it works.

I used to be absolutely anti-weed. Losing my leg - and almost my marriage due to gabapentin - changed my mind. I have tried every pharmaceutical remedy for phantom pain to no avail; only one thing works.

I'd much rather deal with someone who wants a little weed than a raging asshole in nicotine withdrawal.
