sorry if im in the wrong forum, wasnt sure where to post for this question, my mom wants to get me a Hp photo printer 7760W. its normally $179.99 at costco but his weekend it is 139.99. Is this a good printer? I have bad luck with printers;)

Does she need mem card compatability? If she wants to print out photos from a digi camera id say it sounds ok. If she just prints out stuff from the internet or whatever id say get a cheapie job at wal-mart.

IF shes doesnt need mem card compatibility but still prints out photos there are some cheaper ones at that spec.

i have an hp photosmart 7550, and i love it. not one problem with it. only downside is hp didnt ship a usb cable with it so i had to go out and buy one but it is near perfect. no problem at all.

I tend to buy Canon because of ink prices. HP makes solid printers that work well but cost great deals of $$$ to refill. For the cost of 2 HP color cartridges, I was able to buy a Canon i550.

As someone said, it really depends on the usage. If she's just printing out web pages, we have some cheap ( ~ $50) Deskjets that are awesome. If she wants a photoprinter, that one is great...and so is the price.
