Hp p400 sas card help

I just got a hp p400 and I am attempting to install it into my rig. The issue that I am having is that the system board doesn't see the card. The board posts and will boot to windows. The only thing is that nothing sees the card and no lights on the card come on.
My system specs are:
Ci7 930
Evga x58 classified e760
Patriot sector 7 1600mhz
6 we re3 500gb disks
2 gtx 460

I have tried the card in my data server with an asus 730i and the card initializes fine. But in my desktop the card gets hot the bbu lights turn on but no lights or responded from the card. I would like to get this running but need some help

Have you tried to move the card to another PCI slot?

I have tried all 4 PCI-e slots on my system board with no luck
