Anyone out there that uses the older HP NC550 series 10gb SFP+ cards know if they will work in windows 7?

I am shortly upgrading my network at home to 10gbit between my 16TB NAS soon to be 24TB to my switch and from switch to main signature desktop.

I was curious if these NICs are discovered by windows 7 and work. I only see dirvers on HP website for Win Server etc...

I am also considering Intel XF 10GBit nics also as Intel drivers surely work on Windows 7.

I am getting all used parts of course and will be able to do NAS to Sw and Sw to desktop for less than $800 in total. Amazing what fleabay parts can save you.

If they have drivers for Server 2008 or 2008 R2, chances are it'll work on 7.

Yeah I was hoping to not have to take a chance with a fleabuy buy and all. Wanted to make sure. But the adaptors can be had for like $350 all day long with the SFPs
