Have you run the suite of monitor tests that tests banding, contrast ratio, tight patterns, etc.? What are the main strengths and weaknesses of this monitor? Is it adjustable? What inputs does it have? I have heard that Displayport MAY increase responsiveness. Have you tried to connect this monitor via displayport and check the lag?

It was really unlucky that the time I had monitor I didn't have a calibrator. But judging by eye its sRGB mode clearly had good colours, no the wide-gamut over-saturation. And when changing between the colour spaces the LED backlight turns off and on, most likely changing the colour primates.
Also there seems to be some refubrished 2480s with their price about 25% lower than the new monitor.
