I have been looking for a 20" for mostly for Gaming and Videos. I would really like a panel that is not a TN, however I need to know what the average response times, and input lag for these lcd's are, Also what panels people are getting is these, IPS, MVA, PVA?

I am also looking at the NEC LCD2070NX-BK-2 I think it is IPS.
 
I recently received 2 Dell 2007FPs. I like them alot, both are revision A05, IPS LG panels. Word around the net is that most people have been getting IPS screens with the A05 revision. This Xbit review seems pretty comprehensive for response times on the WFP model which was IPS based. Two pages back (on page 9) they talk about the response times on a MVA based FP.

But for the IPS version they got somewhere around 6ms on an advertised 16ms screen.

the response time for the IPS looks real nice, is there any flickering or high pitched noise when the brightness is turned down?
 
Definitely no high pitched noises. I don't notice any flicker but I might not be sensitive to it. My brightness is down to about 25.
