HP laserjet 1000 driver?

My dad acquired a HP LaserJet 1000 series printer.

Windows is unable to get drivers for it.

HP website's drivers leads to a 404 page.

Similar drivers listed in the printer wizard do not work.

Internet searches only lead to links to the HP page.

How in the world can I get drivers for this printer? Are there alternative HP drivers for their printers?

Any help is welcome.

The page loads fine for me.

1) Googled for: hp laserjet 1000

3) clicked on: Support and Drivers

5) clicked on an OS selection: MS Windows XP

6) clicked on the DOWNLOAD button for HP LaserJet 1000 Host Based Driver, which is an FTP link.

Clicking on the words: "HP LaserJet 1000 Host Based Driver" results in a page not found.

It shouldn't load a page at all. Its a javascript form based FTP link, so no page would get loaded.
