Anyone had trouble getting the S-video input to work. I've only tried it from the PCs video card and I get nothing.

Also, does anyone know what the maximum resolution is via S-Video and if picture quality is lost over 10 metres+ ?

I'd try a DVD player first, see if that works. If so then you can adjust your display #2 out on your vid card.

"S" gives you about 420 lines or so. 10m is a pretty good run for "S", I'd suggest a better brand of cable for that distance. I like the mid line Monster for those long runs of cable; I’ve even used a custom 200 footer from them. I’ve never seen anyone else’s cable work at that distance. (No flames please)
 
My PS2 seems to work fine on the SVideo. Then I hooked it up composite. Make sure you choose the right mode...
