Didn't know where to post this, so apologies if this is the wrong section!

Basicly, my girlfriend has a HP G7000 laptop and I re-installed windows vista for her the other week (coz she broke it or something.) Anyway, on the laptop there is a button which turns the wireless internet on/off (No.2 in the below picture.)

When the wireless internet is activated it should turn blue, but instead the button is red. I pressed it and held the button down etc and retsrated a few times, but it won't turn blue. Because of this when you go to the "connect to a network" window, no networks are showing.
I tried reinstalling the wireless drivers numerous times. Is there a fix for this instead of taking it back to the shop/sending it off to HP?

Thanks alot!

it may not be the wireless drivers that control the light.. id look at HP drivers and see if theres something specificly for that..
im trying to remember what it was on my older HP that had the same exact problem.. ill post it when i find it..

edit

i think i had to get that crappy intel pro/wireless driver thing to get mine to work again..
