Hi,

I have an old HP DL585 server that is still running well.

I would really like to add some more storage to it. The problem is the old pci-x slots.

Do any know of controllers able to handle 4tb + disks for a pci-x slot? Preferably a quality raid controller able to do jbod (zfs). If not 4 cheaper single channel controllers would do too. Plenty of available slots.

with regards

Nikolaj

Areca cards should do it. 1120 for example. Can't think of any others since LSI stopped supporting PCI-X a long time ago. Might want to consider just getting a newer server. Power savings alone would pay for it very quickly.
