Kind of a specific issue but I'm having a problem with my plotter at work. We have an exercise coming up so I plugged it into the laptop today using the parallel cable and ever since then when we print it lays down two images overtop and side by side each other. The printer is a HP DesignJet 650c plotter. When I run the sample print it prints double so I don't think it's the drivers or software on the computer but some setting in the printer itself. Anyone here work on DesignJets or plotters in general and have an idea what is going. Gotta print out about 40 maps tomorrow for ORE so any help would be appreciated. Problem happens when printing from network, printer, or parallel cable btw.

Plotter prints double
If you know whats wrong clue me in :D

I own a HP Designjet 500 (42"), have you tried going to the front panel and resetting everything to default? (if there is such an option.) If you did, double check it. Try updating the firmware if its available. Or, if there isnt a new version available try "updating" the firmware with the same version incase something got screwed up.

When you said you printed a sample image so it is not a software/driver issue; I take it you went through the front panel to print it? If so, have you tried to unplug it from the laptop and then print the sample image? Have you tried connecting it to a different PC?

I don't know if this will do anything; however try unplugging it for a few minutes and try it again. Hope I helped & good luck,

Randy
