I just got mine today and I'm having problems setting the monitor up. I'm using VGA->BNC cables and can't set a custom resolution. I've tried using Powerstrip, but it doesn't seem to work when it says to restart to try and unlock the monitor's refresh rates/resolutions. I've also tried both the FW900 and A7217A monitor drivers and that doesn't seem to help.

Another problem is that when I try to set it to a resolution anything higher than 1600x1200, the screen doesnt stretch out like it's supposed to. Not sure how to explain this, but it's like if you were on a webpage and you have room to "scroll" up/down left/right on the screen, except with this this, you can just move your mouse to whichever side you want to "scroll" to.

If anyone could help with either issue, that would be great.

Edit: Also, I have a 9600Pro and using the Cat 5.1s w/CCC
 
If u use bnc u have to download the monitor's installation software, aka bios

here's where things get messy, the monitor will remember 10 resolutions @ any refresh rate. You have to enable in ur video cards drivers to force a resolution with programs because if u have a resolution adjusted but it has a different resolution it will not have ur settings. It means u got 10 resolutions pick ur favorite refresh rate at of that resolution then force program in video card to use resolutions. I wish i could help more bur i'm not too common with ati catalyst drivers. hope this helps good luck.
 
I've downloaded and used the Sony BIOS already. I'm still having the issue of trying to set a custom resolution/refresh rates, cause the default slider options in WinXP aren't what I want, or gives me that "scroll" problem.
 
U need to dig in the ati catalyst, my nvidia drivers allow me to use costum settings, in my nvidia drivers i have to check off a box for unsuported resolutions in order to mess with different resolutions, in ati is different interface, ill see if i can find pics of what catalyst looks like to tell u better.
