[sivel]

hello all,

my question is, im looking into a new monitor, and am interested in
the hp A7217A. i was wondering if it is comparable to the sony
fw900? i know it is the same "tube", but i was wondering if anyone
has any experience with it. a buddy of mine is trying to sell it
for $250.
also, is it the same one that is being reffered to in this thread?

Yes, the HP fw9012 (A7217A) is the exact same monitor as the Sonly fw900. The only difference is the color, and has HP, instead of Sony, on it.

I have the exact same monitor and it is great. The best display for gaming, imo. If i'm not mistaken, the HP monitor that your friend is trying to sell you has a slight scratch/chip in the screen. As long as that does not bother you, and everything else on the monitor is in great condition, then $250 is a steal for that monitor. I payed $400 shipped, and i was more then happy to pay that.
