I have been looking through the case pics on here to see how people wire up there pcs, I have noticed that when people route their cables behind the mobo, they have a metal tray between the spacer pins and the mobo.
Do you need this as I dont have one, I am a little worried about wires touching the underneath of the board. Would there be any static/heat issues with wires touching the bottom of the mobo. I have about an inch gap between the back side of the case and the mobo. Would I have any problems if wires were to touch the mobo.
I thought I better check as I dont want any warm wires, or static issues and its about time I tryed to make my comp not look like a rats nest. :D
 
I'm confused.
What case do you have? What do the motherboard mounting screws screw into?
 
I have a akasa acrylic case, and on the back panel of the acrylic there is 9 x 1inch standoffs screwed in which the motherboard sits on, if i was to route wires behind the mobo, some wires may touch the underside of the board. Is this ok.
Unfortunatly I dont have a camera so I could show you

no both sides come off, but the back side has the motherboard attached to it
 
The wires should be insulated, so you shouldn't have any problems. And for future reference, you really shouldn't expect anyone to answer in 90 minutes. Sure, it may happen, but not always.
 
im guessing most of the cases u were looking at had removable motherboard trays, which meant there were two metal sheets, and tthats where most people put the wires, so im guessing if u dont have a removable mobo tray, then u wont have two meatl sheets to put the wires in between, but i dont know if that means u cant figure out something
