That's the monitor I'm looking at for my birthday gift next week. Price is as high as I can go, I asked for $500 and was turned down. So, how is it? Seems pretty good on paper, and the reviews on the site look good. Uses will be games and general college use, but mostly games since I have a nice laptop for other stuff. I kinda need a review ASAP because I'm ordering in a few hours so it'll get home by next week, and I'm going back to school at 7:00 tonight.

Sony LCD's are great. Pictures are beautiful, no ghosting, sharp text. I have the HX73. So if you go Sony, you cannot really go wrong...

Hm...this monitor is looking good. Is it really 16.7 colors and 16ms? If it is...it's definately looking like the better alternative to the 710T .

Running a 19" SONY SDM-HS93 here and I wouldnt trade it for anything.

Razor sharp, no dead pixels, and no ghosting.

I think you'll be very pleased with your choice.

Just for everyone who wonders about this monitor. It is gorgeous. Came from newegg with 0 dead pixels. Picture is bright and clear, text is sharp. No ghosting or blurring in games. This monitor is incredible.

It is gorgeous

Ya, while everyone seems to be going towards the Viewsonics & Samsungs
these Sonys match up very well. Doom 3 & UT2004 both look awesome and NO
ghosting.

Anyone else get this monitor? I was too late for the Hyundai L90D+, and the VP171B-2 Viewsonic was my fallback, but in webcrawling the SDM-S74/B seems pretty good. It may have a slower response time and lower contrast ratio but it's

280 righchyah on eBuyer (PS anyone know why that's listed as 450:1?)

Also, anyone know of Sony's warranty, servicing, and dead pixel policy?

Thanks.
