I'll be adding an HDTV tuner as soon as I can get the service. :)

I can also keep dumping files to my network file server... about 500GB right now.

I'll probably run arch linux and mythtv.
 
Thats pretty good, what software are you using? What HD tuners are you looking at?
I'm building a similar system right now.
 
I haven't done any research on HD tuners yet, since it hasn't become a major concern. I could get like four HD channels right now, but it isn't worth it. I think I can get ESPN, Discovery, ABC, and something else in HD. I'm not paying any extra a month until I get a better channel lineup. I watch Discovery and ABC sometimes, but not regularly enough to justify the added $15/mo.

As for software, as I mentioned before.... I'm looking at using Arch linux ( www.archlinux.org ) and MythTV ( www.mythtv.org )
