I start college sept 1st and am getting ready to do my upgrades, right now i have:

P4 2ghz Nrothwood 512k 400 FSB
Asus P4PE 533 FSB
512 PC2700 DDR
40 Gb Maxtor 2mb
Geforce 4 Ti 4200 64mb

Now i plan to upgrade my video card to a Geforce 6800 non ultra, and up the hard drive to a 120gb Western Digital with 8mb cache and also up the Power supply to a antec 480 Watter this month, and then in october or november get another 512mb of ram and get a p4 3ghz northwood. Hows that for a roadmap? Is it not a good idea to get a 6800nu with only a 2ghz p4 or will that not be a problem? Im on a budget since i am a student so i cant get it all at once
:D

I would say go to new vid card. It will be a mile ahead of the Ti4200 you have, and will work fine with the 2Ghz chip. Its a good roadmap you have, although I personally might not go for a 480W power supply - a little too much overkill there. Apart from that, it looks like a good way to go.
