It's still "in the works" as you can tell by the pics. More pics to follow.

Can't....focus on...baybus.....must not.....look at......wire meshy....thingy.

Wow, I swear I didn't do any drugs tonight but that background sent me on a trip.

Couldn't have picked a worse background, I looked but still can't tell what your baybus looks like. :p

I'm glad I wasn't high or trippin' (not that I ever am) 'cause I might have fallen outta my chair.

LOOKS LIKE CRAP!!!!!! jk.. pretty damn nice for custom
what kind of switches are those?

please pick a better background though

yeah, a pic with a black or more simple background might be a nice thing

the baybus does look pretty cool though

how many fans are you going to control with that beast
?

nice man. are those simple on/off switches or can they limit voltage to change the fan speeds?

it makes me want to stab my eyes out. nice baybus however

Looks like it would be fun to wire. I bet you could make it look DAMN good to with some time and some heatshrink!

I think it's made worse by the fact that I think the baybus is reflective. I think. Haha.

yeh, it looks like the bus has texture...

well done, looks really nice i like the color... ohh and the baybus is not to shabby 2

K, here's the specs.

I bought 100 of those little switches off eBay from here. There switches are push - push off with an LED indicator in the center of each one. They also included the little locking nuts to hold them in place, but I don't think I"m gonna need them.

The larger switch was bought from Radio Shack about 5 years ago. It is also a push - push off switch, and also has an LED indicator built-in. You can also remove the cap and put an icon or lettering inside the cap, so it lights up.

The bay panel they are mounted onto is a red acrylic single bay filler panel that came with my case. It's not textured or reflective. It's just a plain flat piece of acrylic with mounting tabs.

I don't know how many fans I'll have yet, but I hae more switches than I plan to have fans. I'm gonna use 1 for reset, 1 for each CCFL (I have 4 right now), 1 for my glowing base, 1 for my glowing mousepad, and whatever else I can hook up to them.

7 cents each ;)

make some profit, sell them for like 20 cents each

I hope this one is not another of those boring on/off baybus' out there.. If not, hey, it's looking all good for now.

Yes, this will be a boring on/off baybus.

$1.00 each is too expensive? Dude, go look ANYWHERE for on/off lighted DPDT switches for less than $1.00 shipped.

Go on, I dare ya!

Why not just use normal DPDT-switches and then have leds over/under them? :p

Cause I didn't want that. Besides, that would cost just as much, if not more.

It might, if you don't know people in the electronic-buisness, or radioamateurs, like me.. At our radioclub we had like 10 boxes of switches.. :p No we have like 3-4..

Well, it DID cross my mind to do it that way, until I thought about having to drill 36 holes perfectly aligned. It was hard enough getting THIS many holes all lined up and perfectly spaced. Also, drilling acrylic with a wood bit isn't the easiest thing to do either. Once the bit gets so far in, it wants to bite and grab the acrylic. If it grabs too much, it chips it out and makes an aweful grinding noise. Luckily these switches have enough of flange to cover that up.

Yeah I know, acryl can be a pain in the ass sometimes. It's not THAT hard to get them perfectly lined up, I got mine pretty good lined up (not in acryl tho). I used the smallest bit I had, 1mm I think it was, and then went up in sizes 2-3 times depending on what the hole was for.

I might have had something nice to say, if both of the objects in all the pictures weren't optical illusions.

I can't decide wheter the blob in the middle of the screen purple, red or black. Damn optical illusions!
