Well I decided that since my new rig isint up yet (waiting on 1 part) that id overclock my current setup a bit.

The processor is a P4 2.8C (2800mhz) with a stock cooler.

The ram is some Nanya PC3200.

Let me know if this is an OK overclock.

Temps at load are about 60 degrees C

Rock solid with super pi and 2 hours of F.E.A.R :)

UPDATE:
Just played around with some settings. Got my super pi 1m time down to 44s

ram timings at 2-2-2 @ 181mhz. It was rated at 3-4-4 for 200mhz. heh

I OCed my 3.2 northy to about 3.55 a couple months back and it seemed like everything was slower. Apps launched slower, and it was slower to load windows, so now I'm back at stock.

1.66v?! No wonder people say intel runs hot.

The Northwood core is not the one that earned intel its hot reputation... that was its successor, PressHOT. :p

2.4C M0 @ 3.4 here

What board are you using, there maybe some way to sqeeze more room out of that chip. 3.3 is a pretty average overclock of early D1 Northwoods.
