ExtremeHW is dying, so I decided to switch teams to come fold with y'all. I had fun participating in the 5th Anniversary bigadv EOL Challenge. Although I seem to remember we smoked you guys pretty [H]ard lol.

Welcome aboard! Glad to have you in our team but sad to hear the news about ExtremeHW. Recently Anandtech no longer do any PC review. [H] stopped doing this a few years back too.

BTW, we do both folding and boincing (BOINC). We participated in BOINC pentathlon every year since 2015 and in PG and BoincGames challenges.

We were going all out for our last foldathon at ExtremeHW. "A few" 4090s were rented to boost the stats of most of the users. In a normal 48 hour event I typically do between 50-100 million depending on how hot it is outside.

I'd run more, but PG&E is $0.50 kwH.
 
My biggest limiting factor is heat management. The office is just a spare bedroom on the 2nd floor with a 42u rack full of stuff and a couple workstations. It gets unbearable in the summer if I fold much. Hell, it's 83f in here right now with just a couple of 3090s going. In the process of upgrading and redoing a few things. Will eventually relocate a couple rigs to the basement now that I have a rack and switch down there.
 
That's a lot of equipment! I have a single desktop with two GPUs and that can get the nook I'm in really hot during the summer. Our house is tiny, so it helps in the winter.

Right now these 11kppd WUs hitting my 4090 are killing my output.:ROFLMAO:

When I first moved to EHW it was really easy since I already knew most of the members from OCN. Less familiar faces around here, but when I found out the folding daddy firedfly was coming back here to fold, I knew this was the place to be.
 
So I managed to do a billion in my first month folding for team 33.

That said, some friends stepped up and purchased ExtremeHW and are wanting to get everything back up and running over there. After the BigAdv EOL challenge I'll likely split some of my folding resources between here and there.
