How would i mount this radiator?

I imagine that the DD shroud goes around both sides of the heatercore, providing you the option to mount a fan on either side of the heatercore. Or you could mount a fan on one side and then attach the heatercore to the case using the mounting holes on the otherside. The shroud that you can buy for the heatercore basically has all the mounting gear.

You could mount it using some thin threaded rods with matching washers and bolts. Carefully feed the threaded rod through the openings between the fins and attach it to your case and fan via the washers and nuts. Or you can solder some brackets on the sides of the heatercore and use those brackets to screw the it to the case. Instead of solder, you can also JB Weld the brackets on. Remember, fan shrouds on heatercores are your friends. They help the air flow through the whole fin array on the heatercore and sometimes help reduce fan noise.

Damn those heatercores are butttt ugly, but I imagine that makes them extremely efficient.

They are butt ugly until you paint them. Then they are quite slick looking...

BTW, I went with the dual-120 heatercore from DangerDen. :)

Can i use any type of spray paint i want?

Will paint affect the heat dissipation of the radiator?

I used a flat black paint and a clearcoat. Just do not spray down into the fins, only across.

Damn that actually looks very good. :coo: Nice job . Now how do u put the barbs on a heatercore?

Actually, I didn't put the barbs on this heatercore. I bought the DangerDen dual-120 heatercore that has the barbs installed. The only reason why I went with the DD heatercore is because the fin area matched perfectly to the dimensions of the front openning of my case...
