How well will 128 cards play wow ?

low res possibly.
that should get you into the 30 to 35 range at 800x600 with mostly low details, and distance on low, it will chug in IF and shatt will pretty much be a no go on a heavy way..
my rig (sig), max details in shat on a heavy day, im lucky to see 12fps...(native res of 1680x1050)
however, out in the wilds, i can see upto 40's... 25 man raids it will hover in the mid 20's
my friend is running a 6800 (gtx i think.. ) 256 meg at 1280x1024 medium details all around and will see 15 fps in a 25 man...

Don't think Gainward TI 4800SE is a good idea for WOW..
Whats the cheapest card that can play wow really well ?
My friend is offering me this card Gainward TI 4800SE [128mb DDR) (APG 8X Version of the TI4400) will this play good enought for wow to look semi decent ?
Something wrong with your 8800GT? Seriously I think the TI4800 is pushing it.
That card would be barely playable in the old world in desolate places like the Barrens or Decolace. Going into Stormwind or Ironforge would likely be chug city, heck my 6800 in my laptop chugs going into populated areas like Shat and IF. As far as BC zones, no way, the poly count is quite a bit higher with tons of animated stuff.
Something wrong with your 8800GT? Seriously I think the TI4800 is pushing it.
hahahah no my 8800 is maxing out wow on all settings the graphics in the game are awesome i love it ! I just wish they would go dx10 like Lord of the rings ! Its for a very close friend we play toeghter but his 64mg card finally gave up on him lol he sees red boxes instead of bushes lol gets 12 fraps a second lol so yeah hes done for. were just gonna throw that card in and some ram chips and see what happens
