Would it worth it to GPU fold on a Celeron 430 system with 1GB of RAM? If so, what would be the best cheap card to put in it?
 
Yup, you should be fine. Right now I think the 9800GTs are the best bang for the buck, but someone may have a better option.
 
I have a celeron 325 pushing 2 9600GSO cards, soon to be 9800GT

Works fine :cool::D
