Has it really come to this? Tech geeks need instructions on how to work outside under that bright shiny thing in the sky?

Dress appropriately for the weather—bare legs are O.K. when the degrees hit the high 60s, but bring a jacket or layers in case tree shade gives you a chill. Also dress appropriately for where you're going to be. If grass makes you itch, wear pants, or bring a blanket. If you burn easily, by all means, apply SPF before going outside.

Summary:

A bunch of drivel about common sense stuff, and then it ends saying it is laughable to actually think you will be able tyo get any work done outside.

Sometimes, I'll work outside on my balcony. It's relaxing to put your feet up, toss a towel over your legs and plop down your favorite laptop or netbook to enjoy the birds tweeting and wave at the people walking by. Though it's better on the weekends because, if I hang out on my balcony in the late afternoon, I get a lot of light from the setting sun which can burn instead of tan. Also, I put out flowers in the spring in a bunch of pots so sometimes the bees get a little annoying.

I work outside during summer.

We have a huge lake, waterfalls and a zen garden. I much prefer sitting by the lake / garden than inside a crazy pod.

I love it.

Article has got to be a joke.

Back in reality though, I do sometimes like to work outside but I tend to get less done, would rather just work hard inside and finish early or take a long lunch to enjoy the day.

you will be surprised at how many people dress for looks and get chills/ sweat to death in my area.

the amount of stupidity really kills.

They got like 40 different ad services running too, jokes on whoever actually reads that garbage and inadvertently gives them revenue.

Looking forward to the follow-up article about what to eat and drink outside while working.
