How to watercool a SG01 Evolution

Is there a way to watercool the cpu and/or gpu(s) on a SG01 without so much clutter and very few dremmel work (and work of other skilled labor) ? Has anyone successfully watercooled one of these cases while keeping most of the parts inside the case ? If so, pics would be most welcome explaining how to do it and which parts to use.

I wouldn't really mind the size of the radiator as long as the setup looks neat as a package...

So far I have thought of this, use a single optical drive, underneath the optical place the pump and the res. I might open another circle near the top one and installa dual 80mm radiator, do you reckon this is possible ?
I want to be able to use a dual-core dual-gpu setup with this and it should also be neat (secondary factor only)
 
you cannot cool a dual core + two GPU's. Either one core or one GPU, or one dual core and one GPU. even one core and two GPU's is pushing it. You essentially need one 80mm rad for each thing.

one core + 1 gpu = 1 80mm (pushing it) (dual 80's will work fine)
dual core + 1 gpu = 1 80mm (pushing it even more, worse then air) (dual 80's is pushing it)
one core + 2 gpu = no (dual 80's wil give you worse then air, but still tolerable)
dual core + 2 gpu = no (even with dual 80's, itll overheat)

I would highly recommend using a innovatek style 10mm OD soft tubing with compression fittings, or just plain old 3/8" tubing, but itll kink in there most likely. i would also recommend aqua-computer push fittings + 10mm tubing, but that is kinda stiff and might kink, but its much smaller.
 
Dual core cpu:

d5, apogee, bip2

Had to cut the case shell for external mounting of the radiator, but other than that it is rather low clutter. I removed the HDD cage since I found it rather unecissary and moved my HD to the 5.25 bay. So if you have two drive then it will be considerably harder.

The moment conroe hits the scene, I'm switching over to that and building a dual loop system all internal and give the case a grille/window combination on each side. 2 80x2 rads, 2 ddc with res-tops, and the same apogee. It'll take some extensive psu modding and relocation but I'm sure you guys will think the results would be worth it once I post it up.
 
Thanks for the info Dillusion. BTW, I checked on some of your older posts (the fragbox) before jumping on to a SFF system. I really could use some pictures though ( do you happen to have any FooTemps ?) or some guidance to the placement of the wc components.

Am I on the right track, should I use a single 92/120mm radiator at the back as well? I guess the evo series keep the gpus pretty cool right? If so I will only have to worry about the Processor, in which case I am planning to use dual 80mm radiator inside the case (slight chance using the radiator externally as well)

I am a very visual person (comes with the job) so I would really appreciate some photos or links to photos so I can have a firmer grasp on how to assemble/place the whole setup. Thanks for the help so far. Keep it coming please ;)

note : I wanna get cooling out of the way before I go out and start modding the case, I have a friend who owns a car paintshop and he'll get the panels painted with premium metallic car paint, for free.
 
NT06 is 111mm high with the fan. SG01 page says one can't use coolers over 78mm in height so it has to be used fanless. Who in their right frame of mind will use that thing fanless?? How good is that cooler without a fan? I guess OC is outta question.

They expect you to use the Crossflow fan, and 120MM PSU exhaust fan as a combination for airflow.

Footemps has a good idea, but that requires lotsa modding, and putting the case on/off looks like a PITA.

My HD crashed a few months ago so i dont have any pics of my old old systems, but i didn't WC my fragbox, i had a 7000B/VF700CU in there though. The SFF i DID WC was my X-QPACK, and that has plenty of room, especially due to the 120MM fan int he back lets you mount a rad there.

IMO, i would put one 80MM ran on the top horizontal 80mm fan mount (with minor modding) and just WC the CPU, but thats just me. That would require MINIMAL modding too. If you wanna cool one GFX and one CPU, ide mount one 80mm fan in each of those 80MM fan slots (horizontal + slanted), but itll take more modding.

i would NOT however, mount a rad out the back because it wont mount right or look nice.
 
You could probably watercool dual GPU with dualcore with 2x80mm rad.

Why do you suggest otherwise Dillusion?
 
FooTemps thanks man, I really appreciate the help. I think I will decide as I go along the build however I am inclined to go the simpler route as of now, I want a nice looking compact system first of all. I should also have a high-res photo archive of the build as I go along.

edit : 2x80mm is my realistic goal for a dual-core setup.

a dual 80mm rad dissipates 160kcal of heat. a single 120 does like 125kcal of heat. a single 120 is only good for one cpu + one gpu. When though 160-120 = 40kcal difference. Lets say each die (gpu/cpu dies) is about 70kcal of heat. a single 120 will keep them within reasonable temps +- degrees with what fan you choose + where you mount it. Since these 80's will be INSIDE the case, which gets a little warm, + the fact that he'll probably use low-speed 80mm fans (even moderate speed), 70+70+70 = 210kcal, which is much more than the 160kcal of the combined 80mm rads. a dual 120, on the other hand, handles approx 230kcal of heat- which would produce much better results; but we have no room for that ;)
 
Lately I have been obsessed with SFF systems and it seems that nowadays - with a slight increase in size compared to the previous sffs - pretty much any high end setup can be housed on these little boxes. My only concern is gpu heat. I hope SG-01 can cool 2 gpus effectively. (7600GTs btw) For cpu cooling I might as well, just remove the fan from a Gpower Pro and mount a fan at the bottom blowing hot air upwards from the heatpipes and heatsink. I think it should be ok as a temporary solution until I get my watercooling plans sorted. If it comes to that I might just get a cross flow fan for safety measure, as I said I really like SFF systems and I want my first one to be special :D .
