How to view emails in .msg format?

So I formated my computer and decided instead of using pirated office (yes Im guilty, windows is genuine though, I did have office 2000, which doesn't make it alright but I wasn't totally pirating the office suite, but oh well thats a different matter) I would go legit, and just use openoffice, and thunderbird for my email. Problem is I saved all my emails but they are in a .msg format which outlook 2003 saved them as, and now I can't view any of those emails. Anyone know how I can view them?

You need an application that can view msg files. I don't think there's a plugin for thunderbird which would be great, but I have read about perl scripts being able to convert msg

I use winmail opener for dat files to extract the attachments, but it also shows the message text. I dont know if it does msg files but you might try it
