How to use NTBACKUP

I was wondering what is the proper way to use NTBACKUP? I dont have enterprise level software right now such as Retrospect or Veritas so it will have to do.

Should use daily incremental? Weekly normal backup?
 
What kind of media are you backing up to?
I back up to a different tape on a daily basis, so currently I am doing daily full backups. But that business is closed like 14 hours a day, so I have plenty of time to run the backups.
