how to use langouste behind a proxy

I was wondering how do you use langouste behind a proxy? Since we're setting the proxy to 127.0.0.1 in client.cfg, is there a langouste config to set the internet proxy?
 
I've got some code here that allows Langouste to be "stacked" on another proxy but it's not yet release-ready. I will let you know the moment it is...
 
Transparent proxy would work.

I hope to make a release on weekend.
 
Ok, documentation is still to be updated but go ahead and check this out:

To use external proxy add -X proxyaddress:port to command line.
If you omit :port portion, Langouste will use port 8080.

Setup is the usual: untar / make / sudo make install.

Let know if you have any questions or run into issues.
 
Have everything setup but can't reach the stanford servers because I believe they're doing a server move today. Will update once i'm able to get some assignments.

Also, some proxy require username and passwords but I don't see how to specify that from the documentation. Is this possible with this build?
 
tear, are there any major differences between 15.10pre1 vs the final 15.10 on the proxy feature? Just wondering if I need to update to the latest.
 
Good point up there... proxy authentication is not implemented. Though when there's interest
I will go about adding it.

And no, you shouldn't need to update from pre1 to final 15.10 unless you really really want
to as there are no functional changes in Langouste code.
 
I've been seeing these sent errors after completing every WU for a while now. It'll try 3 times, then go on to the next WU. While working on the new WU, another transfer will be initiated and sometimes it'll be successful and sometimes it'll error out and be removed from the queue. Are there langouste logs I can send you tear?

note that they are not persistent logs - they go away in an event of reboot.
