How to use Google Chrome on Win7 ?

after I install google chrome on my system , ie. os is windows7 and try to go to any web site, nothing happens. Is there something that needs to set before you run this software?

There should be nothing you have to do. Nothing happens as in the program doesn't load or pages do not display?

Which version of Chrome did you install? Try a different one. I've had this happen before -- not sure if it was because I switched OSes or because Google made changes to the code. Regardless, I remember when I switched from WinXP to Win7 and Chrome 2.x wouldn't load pages anymore so I moved to 3.x. Then 3.x eventually stopped loading pages so I switched over to 4.x, etc.

Go here and try installing the portable version of Chrome 8. It's completely self-contained to one folder, so it won't mess with your existing Chrome installation. If 8 doesn't work, try the Chrome 9 beta version a little further down on that page. It's stable as far as I can tell and works great in Win7 x64.

Can try one of the absolute latest versions of Chromium, too.
