How to use/change MIDI inputs in Vista?

I have an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro with the breakout box that includes MIDI in. In XP, I was able to hook up my MIDI keyboard and drumset easily to this port and record/use DTXMania with it. Now that I've installed Vista Ultimate 64-bit, I'm unable to see the port from within the OS. Is there some hack or workaround that will allow me to use my MIDI port?

I found this tip posted elsewhere, but unfortunately it won't work for me as I have no MIDI ports listed in my device manager or registry that I am aware of...

Code:
The registry value
MidiOutId

in

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveMovie\devenum\{4EFE2452-168A11D1-BC76-00C04FB9453B}\Default MidiOut Device\

needs to be set to the MidiOutId (DWORD) of the device you want.

All your devices will have their own keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveMovie\d evenum\{4EFE2452-168A-11D1-BC76-00C04FB9453B}.

Find the device you want and check its MidiOutId and put that value in the Default MidiOut Device\MidiOutId value.

As I said, Windows doesn't even see the device to allow me to use this tip.
