I have 2 250GB drives at work that were initially set up in a RAID 1.

How can I break this up without hosing everything? Basically I want a 250GB drive that is exactly how it is now, and then make the 2nd 250 completely blank.

Thanks

just unplug one of the drives, its an exact copy rerember.

Though he is still in a RAID and it will show the RAID as degraded, see if you can't image the drive and then re-image it after breaking up the array. The RAID drivers will still be installed but it shouldn't matter since you are not in an array anymore.

I did this once and lost all of my data, thinking it would be no big deal.
Make a copy of all your data to another drive, JUST in case.

ALWAYS back your data up. Crap that's supposed to 'just work' doesn't always 'just work'.
