well im planning on making a custom case out of cardboard and putting old parts in it but i have no power button. so how can i start it without a power button or is it impossible.

Touch the two PWR switch leads together with something metal like a flathead screwdriver.

Many motherboards can start by keyboard or the likes. I have my 680i to turn on when any key is pressed.

Look for the "Wake on keyboard" option.

Remember, a touch is all you need. Keeping the connection closed is not necessary.

One of the small touches that I like about the BadAxe2 - built in power button. :)

Hard to reach w/GFX installed though.

yeah my 680i board has built in power and reset switches but my old biostar doesnt witch will be in my awesome cardboard box case.

Ok so I found that option in my bios but it doesn't work. I have a USB keyboard, do I need to set the jumpers on my mobo to give it standby power?

:edit: oh well that didn't work. I don't think its really a big deal to me though, it isn't very hard to press the power button really..

wait, are you really making a custom case out of cardboard?

Doesn't sound safe, or sturdy...
