how to spoof keyboard for headless systems

i've got a couple different motherboards here that are either proprietary (compaq) or just don't have the bios feature (jetway) to turn off halt on no keyboard... but would like to run these systems headless...

i had seen on another thread that somebody had made a home made spoofer that made the board think it had a keyboard plugged into it...

google searches are fruitless, mainly because i'm not sure what i should be searching for...

any of you guys know how to do this?
