How to Split picuture with 2 monitors

i have 1 monitor connected by Dsub 15 pin and another by DVI, right now they are both showing the same picture...how can i split the picture between the 2?

Post some video card info first, and have you installed the drivers for it IE Forceware or Catalyst?

Rightclick on desktop, go to properties--> settings tab-->Advanced-->Displays.

I believe you can change the settings in there, to settings such as horizontal span and such. I have a NVIDIA card, so I think thats how you change it, but dont hold me to it.

Sorry I cant be of more help, someone here with an ATI card can easily tell you how to do it, I know its no problem, I just am not sure what screen to look under.

Did you try: Display properties ->settings and tag "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"?

im gonna second ultramon... its a bad ass free proggy for manipulating monitors.. and its extremely easy to use..

Ultramon is not free. It's a fully featured TRIAL. But it's not free.

That's all I have to do on my 9600 so I'd assume it'd be the same for you

Though I too will recommend Ultramon, definitely worth it!

yeah for some reason, under the screen rez slide bar, there is 2 check boxes...
mine are dimmed, i cant do anything with them, but yes ill try ultramon

Try clicking on the monitor pictures... select screen 2 and tag...
