I sold a hard drive on Friday and due to a busy Independence Day weekend, I wasn't able to ship it.

I'm wondering since the post office is closed, can I still drop it off at the bin at the post office? Or should I void my label and just do it tomorrow?

if you have a preprinted label for the right amount then it should be fine. you could wait til tomorrow since it wont go out til tomorrow either way, or you could take it to ups or fedex but they charge more and it wont go out til tomorrow anyway.

Just send it tommorow. Everyone knows it's a holiday weekend and they should expect things to ship. Just let your buyer know.

A good chunk of Fedex Office (kinkos) locations are open today and accept shipments. (obviously it won't leave till tomorrow, but there is a person there)

Some grocery stores also accept postal packages.

Well I have the label printed out and it's already all boxed up, but it says shipping date is today. If I bring it in tomorrow it won't ship right?

I should void this label and print another one for tomorrow?

It's fine, I send stuff out with pre-printed labels all the time. Just keep your package the way you have it and drop it off tomorrow. If it's under 13oz you can drop it in the box. If it's over in most areas you have to take it to the counter, or just fill out the request online and your mail guy will pick it up.

I've shipped USPS packages after the date on the label and had no problems.

The shipping date on the label is completely meaningless as far as I can tell; people regularly ship things as much as a month after that date on pre-paid labels.

If it's under 13oz you can drop it in the box.

The 13oz rule only applies to packages that are using stamps. If you are using prepaid shipping labels, you can put anything in collection boxes.
