How to setup cooling in a TJ09?

I just got a new PC (Q6600 G0, 8800GTX, Tuniq Tower 120, 2gb Ballistix...), but the CPU runs a little hot, so I was wondering what intake/exhaust setup you would suggest for a TJ09. I have 5 Scythe SFF21F's and 2 stock Silverstone 120mm fans if I need more. My Tuniq Tower 120 is currently blowing air to the top of the case, and the case fan directly above the Tuniq is also blowing air out. The other fan on top is blowing air into the case, the mid-section fan is blowing air in towards the GPU, and the rear fan is blowing air out. The HDD fan is isolated and it doesn't really affect my CPU. Right now my temperatures are in the mid 40's for Cores 1 and 2, while my temps are in the late 30's for Cores 3 and 4. How can i most effectively utilize my fans?

shouldnt both top fans be blowing air out? doesnt make sense to have a top fan blowing air into the case since its going to be blown right out by the sencond top fan and the rear fan.

I've got a TJ09 with the top two and main fan on intake and rear on exhaust. I've tried exhausting through one and both the top fans but the intake top/main and exhaust on rear combo seemed to work best for me. I do have a couple of PCI blowers as well.

Give each combination a try and see what works best for you.

that is weird, mine has the top two blowing out and the rear blowing in. Make sure you are using the video card intake fan as it can introduce a lot of fresh air into your system

I would say both top fans should be blowing the same direction. Personally, I'd go with exhaust but I don't think you want them fighting each other.

Personally, I have the top 2 case slot fans as blowing IN, and the rear fan blowing out. I also have the fan that is blowing into the case near the GPU blowing in. My tuniq 120 is then blowing in the direction of the exhaust which is right next to it.

That's roughly how i set it up.. I have a q6600 running at 3.2Ghz @ 29/30 deg celcius idle.

You will definitly need one of these Silverstone CFP51-B Black Aluminum 3X5.25IN to 4X3.5IN Bay Converter with 120MM Fan And Blue LED since you really need an intake from the front. If you do get this for intake, set the back and 2 top fans as exhaust. You really need to get rid of all the heat since TJ09 isn't a very good air cooling case. You will also need to reseat your Tuniq Tower 120 so that it will suck the air from the front and right out the back. Do not set it up like you have it right now because what your Tuniq Tower 120 is doing is sucking the heat comeing out from you GPU below.

 Really? The TJ09 is hands down the best case I've ever owned for air flow!

Looks like everyone has different techniques for setting up the fans/airflow of their case but mine's the same as Gaiden133's (except I've got a Scythe Infinity with 2 x120mms in push/pull) and for me it's been the best set-up.

YMMV of course and I stand by my statement to experiment and see what works best for your rig.

This is how I am setting it up in my current build (I have the Silverstone CFP51-B for intake):

I wasn't planning on using the two top fans. Do the rest of you use these fans? I would most likely set those up as exhaust, but some people have said they work better as an intake. Perhaps thats because there basically is no air for intake in this case? There's a hhd fan and a gpu fan, but no intake blowing on the processor really.

Trust me, the best setup you have there is what it should be with the 2 top as exhaust also. If you have a Q6600 or an 8800 or 2900, that is the best way to go to take out as much hot air as possible.

Since all 4 fans are pulling the hot air out, it also act as pulling in cool air.

Wouldnt a Scythe Kama Bay work good too, Its ALOT cheaper.
That will do also.

You forgot the PSU

There's mesh at the bottom of the case for the PSU, about the only air it's stealing is for itself. The nice thing about the PSU there is that it's not affected by heat from the rest of the case and really doesn't affect anything else.

Hmm I didn't notice that so it's good than.
