Perhaps it's due to me being still pretty new to VPN, but is there a way to easily setup a Netgear FVS336Gv2 VPN Router with VPN access without the need to use the client software that comes with the unit?
We would like to setup the box so that a Windows 8 laptop and a MAC OS X 10.8 laptop can connect natively through the VPN tunnel without the need for client software. What is the easiest way to do this?
The box has a functioning IPSec tunnel running to another FVS336Gv2 without issue, but it seems that connecting a client laptop is a bit of a challenge without client software.
If client software is needed, is there free software that is available for both MAC and Windows that is not the standard Netgear client? They only provide one license in the box for the Netgear software, and I'd like to use something third party if possible.
